Getting there

There is no public or private transport to access the Karukinka Reserve. The Y-85 highway is the access route to the park, a gravel road that is kept in good conditions until the Park entrance. It is best to rent a car or hire a transport operator from Porvenir, 250km from the park, to make the journey south. Click here to contact one.

Today the road Y-85 is being paved, so it still has many stretches of gravel, which anyway are kept in good condition to the park entrance. Whoever has the necessary physical condition, can pedal from Porvenir o Cerro Sombrero.

There is a private aerial service that flies to Pampa Guanaco. DAP Airlines lands about 20 minutes by car from Karukinka and there is a dirt road to the park. The cost depends on the kind of the service contracted and flight is always subject to weather conditions.
